The new BMW G05 X5 is here, dealing away with the BMW F15 X5. However, the latter one won’t give up without a fight. Certainly, the newer generation of BMW’s SAV (Sports Activity Vehicle) might come with more refined styling, better engines and overall, improved performance and comfort. However, the old gen X5 – especially when adorned with the gorgeous Long Beach Blue Finish – and in the ultimate BMW X5 M high-performance version, is nothing to sneeze at.
The BMW X5 is powered by a 4.4 liter V8 TwinPower Turbo engine delivering 575 horsepower and 553 lb-ft of torque. With this powerplant, the rumbling SAV (Sports Activity Vehicle) will kick off a storm while accelerating from 0-62mph (0-100km/h) in just 4.0 seconds. It packs the xDrive all-wheel drive as standard, matched with an 8-Speed M Sport automatic transmission system. The latter comes with Drivelogic, Sport and Manual shift modes, steering wheel-mounted paddle shifters and Launch Control – certainly helping with the sporty feel behind the wheel of this monster SUV.
For this particular Long Beach Blue BMW X5 M, the owner decided to go with a set of Vossen aftermarket wheels. Namely, he chose to go with the Vossen HF-1 hybrid forged wheels, giving his high-performance SAV a quite a unique look.
For this build, the wheels come sized 22×9.5 in the front and 22×12.5 in the rear. The wheels are adorned with a Carbon Graphite finish, perfectly contrasting the bright blue exterior of this vehicle. The resulting look is an aggressive, albeit clean one that works well with this vehicle.
